This keyed deadbolt is constructed of die-cast zinc and is painted or coated to match the color of Ideal Security's storm door handles. The installation process is straightforward and should take approximately 20 minutes. Only three 5/16" holes need to be drilled through the door for the screws and spindle, requiring a tape measure, drill, and screwdriver.

The set includes the following components: an outside key cylinder escutcheon, an inside deadbolt with a thumb turn, screws and spindles for doors ranging from 1" to 2-1/8" in thickness, a surface-mount strike plate, two deadbolt shims, and two keys. The spindle can be cut to the appropriate length as needed. Additionally, extra key blanks (KBSK1215) are available for purchase.
